In waterless land of dalmatian zagora, it's way through the sea has found the river Krka,the nature phenomenon of the karst. Rising from the basis of Dinara, at eastern part of the Knin field, gets through the magnificent canyon and runs into the Adriatic sea near Šibenik. The longitude of the rive ris 72km. Krka has 7 waterfalls. The famous one is Skradinski buk. The second one is Roški slap, 25.5m tall. Over Skradinski buk flows 55m3/s, and during rainy days the number grows untill 350m3/s. Large amount of water suites a vegetation so near river ther is about 200 species of mediterian and submediterian plants. With it's peculliar beauty,the canyon, the cascades,caves, green valleys and beautifull vegetation , Krka makes one of the most beautifull and favorit touristic destination in Dalmatia.
There are organized trips on Krka, for Skradinski buk. Price of the excursion is 200 Kn for one person and includes transport and daily ticket for NP Krka. The lunch is possible at restaurants by Skradinski buk, or it can be aranged in restaurants in region.
National park Kornati
